Tutoring

We are aiming to change the face of tuition by incorporating younger tutors who understand what it's like to be a student and use empathy to support those who may lack confidence or feel overwhelmed by upcoming examinations.

At ZM Tutoring we encourage independence and not only teach the necessary curriculum but also revision techniques and strategies to aid the students learning throughout their lives.

Our patient yet enthusiastic tutors ensure all students have a firm understanding of each concept by explaining and presenting the material in a number of different ways to make sure every student is comfortable with all of the content.

Mentoring

Our mentoring programme enables students to flourish by allowing them to realise and build confidence in their own ability and talents.

Succeeding in exams is not only down to natural ability, but is about knowing how to study, working hard and understanding how to approach examinations. As mentors we aim to facilitate that process to increase the probability of success.

About me

Having worked within several tuition centres for a number of years, in 2021 I decided to open my own tuition company under the name ZM Tutoring. The success of the business allowed me to open a second service - Mentoring - for children aged 14, 15 and 16 to prepare them for public examinations.

Having sat 11+ entrance examinations myself in early 2016 - I understand the stress surrounding these exams and how much effort is required to get into some of the most competitive schools within the area. The ordinary delivery of tuition can become tedious and boring however at ZM Tutoring we aim to provide a different type of tuition using the following two concepts.

We use techniques such as active recall and facilitated learning, encouraging students to think critically in order to apply their arithmetic knowledge to worded exam problems. We also incorporate games and hands on activities to make the sessions as enjoyable as possible whilst maintaining productivity.

We are also changing the way tuition is delivered by using young enthusiastic tutors who have the relevant qualifications to teach these students in a much more interactive and productive fashion whilst maintaining professional boundaries.
